2-4 August 2019 will see the Stroud Vintage Transport & Engine Club (SVTEC) stage the Annual Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza at South Cerney Airfield in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The show is widely regarded as one of the biggest and best Steam, Vintage and Countryside events in the UK and attracts thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the country whilst actively raising thousands of pounds for both national and regional charities.

Extravaganza Highlights
Vintage Displays
Vintage displays of nearly 1000 classic cars from pre and post war, including over 70 Classic American, plus 370 Motorbikes, scooters, 70 bicycles from 1903 – 1980, 30 miniature steam engines, 90 stationary engines, 70 full size steam engines, model engineering, 230 tractors, over 70 buses and coaches, 140 mlitary vehicles, 240 emergency and commercial Vehicles, 60 industrial trucks, 50 vintage caravans and a large model aircraft flying display.

Live Arenas
There are two live arenas with live commentary to non-stop parades and demonstrations.
The Alec Tanner Arena will showcase classic vehicles from across the ages on two and four wheels.
The Steam Playpen does exactly what it says on the tin, steam engines at play showcasing a wide variety of steam power with accompanying commentary.

Vintage Fun Fair
All the fun of the fair including steam powered Gallopers, Electric Yachts, Big Wheel, Waltzer and traditional “Penny Arcade” side shows. Why not take a ride on Chuffy The Train around the show?

Countryside and Animal Arenas
The Cotswold Dog and Cat Home will host the ‘famous Dog Show’ categories Scruffiest Mutt, Quickest Sit and Waggiest Tail. Displays including Ferret Racing, Horse Logging and Birds of Prey will be showcased in a second arena – not forgetting the dancing sheep & sheep shearing in the Sheep Show!

Trade Stands and Craft Tent
Massive Trade stand area with over 100 trade stalls, a craft Marquee, a model tent, and specialist displays of memorabilia from a bygone era.


Music and Dance
The showground site is sprawling, with plenty of food and drink ‘pit stops’, a firm favourite is the vintage tea room with regular music and 1940s inspired Lindy Hop dancing (both days). Plus live music from songstress Betsy Harmony, performing a delightful selection of 1940s songs plus regular sets by the ‘Steamed Up Brass ’
