Wokingham Winter Carnival
Date: 24 November 19 — 24 November 19 | Report this event.
Entrance Price free Per person
Wokingham Winter Carnival is a FUN day out for the whole family. The town is closed to traffic for the day so children can join in the fun in a totally safe environment.
There’s a whole host of street entertainers, music, singing, dancing and the fun of the fair with loads of different rides, whether you’re young or old.
Santa will be in his grotto at the library and for lunch there are stalls offering an amazing choice of food and drink.
There are stalls selling gifts too, so why not get your Christmas shopping sorted?
Check out the programme of events to find out what’s happening throughout the day.
The themed procession is a highlight of the Winter Carnival. Floats and walkers start off from Shute End at around 4pm and wind their way through the town as the light fades. Details of the Procession route through the Town Centre will be confirmed nearer the time.
With this year’s theme being ‘A Space Adventure’ we hope to see a few interesting floats and costumes. Remember you don’t need a vehicle to join the parade, moon walking is just fine!
If you’d like to join the parade please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Some people would love to join the procession but don’t have a vehicle. So, if you have a flat bed truck you could lend out for the day please get in touch.
Check out the route of the parade so you can get in position. We’ll be adding this to the website just before the event.
